When my daughter was about 2 and wanted me to read to her, she'd say, "Let's play books!" I thought that was so cute and it became our catchphrase to read together.
Now, Pearl is 4 and still "playing books" and I hope it becomes a life long game :)

Welcome to my Blog
Hi Readers,
Welcome to my Blog! I started a Blog to share my love of reading and promote my ambassadorship to Barefoot Books.
Besides selling Barefoot Books, I hope to use this blog to highlight books that have been meaningful to me, books that I love to read to my daughter, literacy articles and discussions and possibly my own interviews. I am going to have a monthly highlight of an author of children's literature or YA lit. Also, I am going to share ideas for story-based activities and crafts.
Reading is such an important part of my life. As a child, I could always be found with a book in my hand. I am now sharing my love of books with my daughter, Pearl, who loves to read.
I hope this Blog inspires you to read more, share your love of reading with your children and reflect on the importance of literacy in society.
